the tradeoff between simple, flexible, and powerful — delivering all three from a single design suite built on the Biamp Workplace platform.
Workplace Control runs on TesiraForte X processors — including the X 400, X 800, and X 1600 models — delivered via a Tesira firmware update. Apprimo
touch panels (4, 7, 8i, and 10) serve as the user interfaces, and the new Impera Connect-X MP6 endpoint adds RS-232, IR, and GPIO control for legacy devices.
Yes. Workplace Control supports Impera drivers on day one — both Biamp-created and user-created. Import any driver directly into your project, and the
controls, commands, and status are immediately available. You can also edit drivers or create new ones using the same Device Editor tool you use today.
Workplace Control supports thousands of devices across hundreds of manufacturers, including displays, cameras, video switchers, lighting, HVAC, and other
building systems. For devices with complex APIs or custom behaviors, built-in Lua scripting handles advanced logic, data transformation, and conditional
workflows.
Workplace Control requires Management & Monitoring Plus on the controlling device. The processor (TesiraForte X) is purchased at the same price as today,
and Apprimo touch panels, Impera Connect-X MP6, and existing Impera drivers all work without additional licensing. Perpetual licensing is available for
installations that need a one-time payment model.
